Since 2011, we have been assisting in the software development of a research project on "Electronic calendars for elderly people with cognitive decline," which is one of the projects in the "Research on the development of welfare equipment for people with dementia" project run by the National Rehabilitation Center Research Institute for Persons with Disabilities.This App is targeted at people with time disorientation, such as those with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) or mild dementia.This is designed and equipped with functions that make it easy for information to be conveyed to elderly people, such as a function to display the date and day of the week, a function to inform them of the schedule for the day based on information entered by the caregiver, and a function to display the time so that it is easy to tell whether it is day or night.Being able to check the time and schedule for yourself increases the things you can do, and is expected to reduce the burden on caregivers.
