We were in charge of the UI design for the relaunch of NTT DoCoMo's dHealthcare.
dHealthcare is a health management and promotion app for smartphones, and is loved by many people, with a total of over 15 million downloads in May 2024.
The renewal includes a new design for the app, as well as new features such as a 'course selection function' and an 'advice function'. With this renewal, the app will further evolve into an app that promotes individualised health activities based on walking, in line with the vision of 'creating a world where everyone can enjoy walking'.
In order to redefine the value for the renewal, we and NTT DOCOMO analysed the experience of walking and health management through interviews with dHealthcare app users.
Based on the redefined value, new functions were devised and compared through prototyping, and the new value provided to users was fleshed out.
While building on the functions and design of the existing app, we designed the screen so that it can be used by more users.
